2016 Republican Presidential Nomination Odds
Current gambling odds for over 30 potential Replican Presidential candidates in 2016. Would you take David Petreus at 50/1?
I t’s far too
early for Vegas to release any official gambling odds, but that won’t
stop us from attempting to handicap the 2016 election. Next to each of
the candidates below we have listed the current odds on what
we believe their chances are to win 2016 Republican presidential
nomination. Obviously, if there is a Republican victory in 2012 all
bets are off. Feel free to debate the odds we have listed or let us
know which candidate you would bet on in the comments section.
Martin O’Malley
Born in 1963, Martin O’Malley was raised in Bethesda and Rockville,
Maryland. He attended a Jesuit high school and went on to study at a
Catholic University of America. At a young age he is said to have
developed a passions for history, Irish culture and music. While in
college he got his first taste of politics when he signed on to the Gary
Hart President Campaign. Looking back at his time working in the
campaign, O’Malley reflected, “Hart turned me on to the fact that one
person can make a difference.” Martin O’Malley went on to study law at
the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore, earning his J.D.
in 1988. That same year he began dating his current wife, Catherine
Curran, the daughter of the State’s Attorney General.
Possible Democratic Candidates for the 2016 Election
the New York Times provided some analysis of possible 2016 Democratic candidates. Here is a list of the five types of possible candidates and some of the names that were mentioned in the article:
Bobby Jindal for President in 2016?
Our next presidential election in the
United States will be in 2012, as we all know. President Obama will,
obviously, be the candidate for the Democrats. And we know some of the
Republican candidates lining up to run against him.
But looking ahead four years after that, to the 2016 presidential
election, the list of names becomes more about political speculation.
Still, there are some people even now that are generally agreed to be
front runners.
